Introducing Winnipeg Chiropractor Dr. Eric Leader

“Patients these days take an active interest in their own health care.” says Dr. Leader. “And I'm glad. You should want to know more about your doctor, your treatments, and your options. I've put together this information sheet to answer questions you may have about me. And I encourage you to ask questions when we're together.”

Winnipeg Chiropractor<br>Dr. Eric LeaderDr. Leader began his pre-chiropractic education at the University of Winnipeg where he studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses.

After completing his study there, he was accepted at Life University of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia. During his four years at Life University, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Life University Public Clinic. After graduating in 1994, magna cum laude, Dr. Leader returned home to Winnipeg to establish his practice. He receives rave reviews, and is especially thankful for the numerous referrals he receives from satisfied patients and his local Winnipeg health professionals as well.

“I view the body as a very complex organism controlled by an internal life-force or energy. This life-force or innate intelligence flows via the nervous system to every cell, tissue and organ, instructing them what to do. Since we self-heal and self-regulate, blockage to the nervous system by way of subluxation will impair nerve flow and causes sub-optimal function of the body, resulting in eventual disease. The body is stimulated by an adjustment to correct itself naturally. Chiropractic neither removes nor adds anything to the body, it only stimulates self-healing.”

Dr. Leader is married to Andrea and they have three children, Michael, Colin and Rebecca. All of their children were born at home and have never been vaccinated or received an antibiotic. (If that sounds interesting, be sure to ask Dr. Leader to explain!)

I consider myself an excellent listener and hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenge – but enough about me! Dr. Leader Asks some important questions of interest to Winnipeg residents - Chiropractor Winnipeg Dr. Leader Asks...

Can subluxations clear up on their own?
Sometimes. Today's hectic lifestyles can be a constant source of subluxations. Fortunately, our bodies have the ability to self-correct many of these minor problems as we bend and stretch, or when we sleep at night. When subluxations don't resolve, you need to see our Winnipeg office for chiropractic care!
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
